New Office Suite Opening

SEERS Medical is excited to announce the opening of our new office suite, reception area, meeting room and visitors’ car park in March 2024, continuing our development of the site.

Following the successful completion of Phase 1, our new warehouse in Summer 2023, SEERS planned to progress to Phase 2, an add on phase, developing the existing office suite. However, following the devasting flooding that occurred in October 2023, we were forced to revise our plans for this phase of the development.

To avoid a repeat should this happen again, flood prevention and reduction methods had to be considered in detail. Such methods included raising the height of the windowsills, as much of the flood water penetrated these during the flooding, tanking the external brickwork to reduce water penetration and adding an underground tank with a pump so should any water penetrate the offices in future, it would be pumped out keeping the water level to a minimum. All entrances have also been fitted with floodgates so in the event of a possible flood warning, flood water can be kept at bay.

The flooding also provided us with the opportunity to consider the internal layout of the building and design something to better suit our needs. Since the business relocated to its current site in 2010, the business has grown rapidly with little alteration over the years.

As a result, we were able to remove internal walls in the old office suite paving way for a modern, open plan arrangement. In addition, a new communal area for staff was created, along with a disabled toilet, a new meeting room and a welcoming reception area.

The next phase of development shall continue in Spring 2024 with the creation of a new building for R&D, along with a product showroom. A first floor will also be added with further executive offices and a boardroom. This is due for completion by Autumn 2024.
