Infection Prevention

Hinge covers additionally help to make infection control easier, by keeping any excess fluids in one place to wipe away. All couches in the Medicare, Therapy and CLINNOVA Ranges are fitted with hinge covers between each section(s). The main advantage for including hinge covers is to help protect the hinges from excess liquids seeping down. In doing so, they will also help to prolong the lifetime of the product by stopping solutions from potentially stiffening the movement of the upholstery and reducing ease of manoeuvrability.

Vinyl:

Our upholstery vinyl from the Mundial Range is anti-bacterial, waterproof and has a fire resistance to Crib 5. The "leather looking" vinyl has also been tested to have an abrasion resistance of 150,000 cycles.

Easy Clean Upholstery:  

Easy Clean Upholstery is an innovative method to give upholstery an easy-wipe surface and smooth appearance. Made from a recycled synthetic material, the unique backing ensures there are no visible staples around the edge of the upholstery. This means that bacteria can no longer grow under the staples, creating an easier surface to clean.

Easy Clean Upholstery is now available as an optional accessory with the Therapy and Medicare 2 & 3 Section Couches, and is fitted as standard on all CLINNOVA Couches. 

Powder Coating:

SEERS products are manufactured using the latest technology available. 

All couch framework is powder coated with an anti-microbial additive using a static charge,  ensuring that the coating is evenly distributed and no part of the framework is missed. The frames are then oven baked, to seal the paint prior to assembly.

Insert & Nut Caps:

Insert and Nut Caps are fitted to the frame of the couch, sealing any open sections from ingress. The nyloc nut fittings are also capped for safety and infection prevention.
